About us

The squad meets once a month in Birmingham, to allow elite athletes from across the West Midlands to train together. The squad is aimed at athletes who have the ability to compete at national level or, in the case of our younger swimmers, have the potential to compete at national level. The squad is vital to the younger talented Disability swimmer as many are the only Disability swimmers in their clubs and the squad sessions afford them the opportunity to train with other Disability swimmers.

The squad competes successfully at regional and national Disability competitions with members winning many medals and holding British records. Some members have competed successfully at Paralympic and World Championship level and some are World Record holders in their events.

The squad has an active management committee and coaching team, which help to make this success possible.
